FOXBORO — Rob Ninkovich reserves the right to fudge the numbers a little.
Entering his 11th NFL season, the Patriots defensive end shaves that down where he sees fit.
“I subtract three years because I really didn’t play much in my first three,” he said half-jokingly yesterday at Gillette Stadium. “I still feel good, and it’s all about production on the field, so I feel my production is still there and I’m still getting to the quarterback.”
That’s certainly true, as last season Ninkovich racked up 6.5 sacks for a total of 22.5 in his past three seasons.
