For the most part, Patriots players and coaches have kept their public enthusiasm over Tom Brady’s four-game suspension being overturned to a minimum.
But in a conference call yesterday, while he wasn’t exactly overflowing with emotion, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels did express some relief about the outcome.
McDaniels was quick to point out, however, that the ruling by federal judge Richard Berman didn’t alter preparations for the team’s regular-season opener next Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Gillette Stadium.
“I’m happy for Tom, and this week, hopefully, we’ll be able to focus on just football,” McDaniels said.
