FOXBORO — The Patriots have lost a key member of their front office.
Director of pro scouting Bob Quinn will be hired as the Detroit Lions’ general manager. Team president Rod Wood confirmed yesterday that the Lions and Quinn have an agreement in principle. This move has been on the Pats’ radar all week.
Quinn has been with the Patriots since Bill Belichick arrived in 2000 and worked his way up the scouting ranks before taking over his most recent role in 2012. Quinn, a Norwood native, took over for Jason Licht when he departed for the Cardinals.
