It’s not quite Tom Brady vs. Drew Bledsoe, but there’s a positional battle ramping up in Foxboro.
After being removed from the short-term injured report, center Bryan Stork will be eligible to return to the Patriots lineup when they host the Washington Redskins on Nov. 8.
Stork was a catalyst in stabilizing the offensive line during last season’s Super Bowl run, but he’s going to have to compete for a starting job.
Rookie David Andrews has played every snap in Stork’s absence, and he’s played well. Andrews’ communication and intellect have been lauded repeatedly by the coaching staff, and he’s drawn comparisons to Dan Koppen, a former favorite of Brady.
