INDIANAPOLIS — Nate Solder is market ready.
The Patriots left tackle plans to continue playing football next season and beyond, according to sources. There had been speculation that Solder could retire to spend more time with his family, as his son continues to battle cancer.
Solder, who turns 30 next month, will unequivocally be the best tackle in free agency, and he could command a hefty price tag. He could land a contract in excess of $12 million in average annual value, which would make him among the five or six highest-paid left tackles in the league.
