Dominique Easley lines up against 300-pound offensive linemen for a living, but his younger sister is battling a bigger behemoth.
Destinee, 16, is fighting fibromyalgia, a disorder that causes debilitating pain in muscles and soft tissue. Its cause is unknown and it’s often difficult to diagnose, but it affects an estimated 5.8 million Americans.
Watching Destinee suffer for the last four-plus years has been an eye-opening experience for the Patriots defensive lineman.
“The way my sister explains it to me, and from what I’ve seen, she sometimes can’t even walk,” said Easley, who made an appearance on Herald Radio yesterday.
