FOXBORO — Tight end Scott Chandler continually harped on the team-first mantra during his first season with the Patriots, and that tune didn’t change yesterday when he cleaned out his locker.
Chandler didn’t catch a pass in his last five games, and he wasn’t even targeted in the playoffs. But when asked if the season unfolded the way he hoped from a personal perspective, Chandler never wavered from the same message that he has preached since signing a two-year, $5.3 million contract in March.
“I came here because I wanted to play on a winning team,” he said.
