FOXBORO — Tarell Brown intensified his campaign yesterday for one of the starting jobs at cornerback for the Patriots.
Brown intercepted Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo on back-to-back plays at practice, and it was a reminder that he can help the secondary. In a sign that Bill Belichick’s coaching staff is trying to find ways for the veteran addition to plant himself on the field, Brown shifted between his traditional role on the outside and a new spot in the slot.
“We’re all here to do a job,” Brown said.
