April 23 will forever be a special day in the history of the New England Patriots franchise.
It was on this day in 2010 that the New England Patriots made a trade with the Oakland Raiders to leap over the rival Baltimore Ravens in the second round. The Patriots then used their new second-round pick to take a chance on Arizona tight end Rob Gronkowski.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Gronkowski was a first-round talent but concerns about his back and overall durability contributed to him falling to Day 2 of the draft.
