Yesterday the Patriots released Brandon LaFell and Scott Chandler. Here are a few quick thoughts on the move:
1. New Plan At Receiver
After this move, the Patriots now only have Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Aaron Dobson, Chris Harper and DeAndre Carter signed at receiver. And of those five players, only Edelman and Amendola have proven to be reliable. The Patriots will be making moves to add to this group, likely both in free agency, and in the draft.
