All those mock drafts projecting the New England Patriots to take a wide receiver in Round 1 may need some adjustments.
According to The Athletic’s Chad Graff, the Patriots are indeed in the market for receiver help this offseason. However, he reports that the team’s “preference at this point would be to address the position with a veteran rather than using their first-round pick” for a receiver, citing a former team official.
The Patriots have been a regular landing spot for some of the top receivers in the 2023 NFL Draft, including USC’s Jordan Addison and TCU’s Quentin Johnston.
