Patriots make decision on Raiders RFA offer to LB Christian Elliss

The New England Patriots have reportedly made the decision to match the Las Vegas Raiders offer sheet for restricted free agent linebacker Christian Elliss, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

That means Elliss will return to New England on a two-year deal.

If the Patriots refused to match the Raiders' offer sheet, they would have lost Elliss to Las Vegas, and they wouldn't have been compensated with a draft pick due to the level he was tendered at in free agency.

The 2024 season was a major step back defensively for the Patriots, but Elliss was one of the surprise standouts for the unit.
