Patriots interviewed former Colts OC for open head coach position

After an abysmal season that finished with a 4-13 record, the New England Patriots fired head coach Jerod Mayo on Sunday, making it the second year in a row that they've moved on from their coach.

Now, New England must act rapidly to find their next guy to lead the team for the foreseeable future. While there have been a few names reported already, another was added Tuesday afternoon, as NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the Patriots are interviewing Pep Hamilton For the job.

Hamilton, 50, has spent time coaching in college, the NFL and the UFL since 1997.
