A big storyline surrounding the Patriots this offseason is Matthew Judon’s contract. New England has extended other players this summer, but the linebacker has yet to reach a new deal.
Judon is set to play the 2024 NFL season on the final year of his contract, and the Patriots reportedly want to get everything squared away sooner rather than later.
“The Patriots would ideally like to have all contract-related matters buttoned up by the first practice July 24, giving (Jerod) Mayo a clear football runway as he begins his first training camp as coach,” ESPN’s Mike Reiss wrote on Sunday.
