On Sunday, the New England Patriots announced that Christian Barmore would be out indefinitely after being diagnosed with blood clots over the weekend. One day later, the team remained in a state of uncertainty regarding its stalwart defensive tackle.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the Patriots’ fifth practice of training camp, head coach Jerod Mayo stressed that Barmore’s wellbeing would be the team’s priority at the moment. Everything else would be of secondary concern.
“I just want to thank the medical professionals in-house and also Mass General as far as the care for Barmore,” Mayo said.
