FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots are heavy favorites in Saturday's home game against the New York Jets, and if they beat the 17-plus points spread, it would buck the trend of recent years when it comes to Patriots-Jets games.
The last time a game between these teams was not close and was decided by more than 10 points was the "Butt Fumble" game on Nov. 22, 2012 -- a 49-19 Patriots victory.
"The Jets are a team that knows us very well and a team that, like we talked about before the last time we played these guys, does just an excellent job of game planning for us," defensive coordinator Matt Patricia said.
