FOXBOROUGH – The Patriots secondary is hurting, once again.
After missing three of their top five cornerbacks last week, the Patriots have five defensive backs listed on their injury report. That being said, Thursday’s news about Marcus Jones was a step in the right direction.
The rookie cornerback/returner/receiver practiced for the first time since suffering a concussion in Week 16. Jones was a limited practice participant on Thursday, which puts him on track to return to the game field this weekend in Buffalo.
Jones had started three of the previous four games at cornerback prior to his injury.
