Patriots director of pro personnel Pat Stewart is headed back to college.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Stewart, a veteran executive with a scouting background, who was in his second stint with New England’s front office, is leaving to become the new general manager at Nebraska.

“Sources: Nebraska is hiring New England Patriots front office executive Pat Stewart as the football program’s new general manager. Stewart is the pro personnel director in New England and worked prior with the Carolina Panthers as vice president of player personnel.
