The New England Patriots continue to clear up cap space this offseason.
The Patriots and defensive end Henry Anderson have come to agreement on a reworked contract, giving him a base salary of $1.25 million in 2022. Anderson’s original contract was $2.5 million and it gives the Patriots $1.25 million to work with this offseason.
There are incentives that could get Anderson back up to $2.5 million, but they won’t count against the cap just yet. If he were to hit the incentives, they would go against the cap in 2023. He originally signed with the Patriots on a two-year, $7 million deal last offseason.
