The New England Patriots filed an amicus brief Wednesday as part of their support of quarterback Tom Brady's appeal of a four-game suspension for his role in the Deflategate saga.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the news and indicated the brief was filed to oppose the NFL's legal position on Brady's ban. The Patriots' brief is in support of the NFL Players Association's appeal.
Brady officially filed an appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals Second Circuit on Monday.
