In his Patriots debut, running back Jeremy Hill performed well in limited opportunities. Unfortunately for Hill, his opening game – and season – were cut short when he suffered a torn ACL.
With the powerful veteran runner out for the rest of the 2018 season, it means the Patriots will likely add another running back to the active roster for Week 2 against the Jaguars. New England currently has only two running backs healthy from the Week 1 roster (James White and Rex Burkhead).
The door is open for rookie first round pick Sony Michel to (eventually) see an increased workload.
