The New England Patriots have been a middle-of-the-league team when it comes to running the ball this year, averaging 119.3 yards per game on the ground (14th in the NFL) and 0.6 touchdowns per game (25th).
On Friday, New England's running back room took a bit of a hit for this weekend's battle against the Buffalo Bills, as JaMycal Hasty was ruled out with an ankle injury.
With that, the Patriots are expected to sign running back Terrell Jennings from their practice squad on a contract that will run through the 2025 season, according to the Boston Globe's Christopher Price.
