New England Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf took the blame for the roster shortcomings last season during his media scrum at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday.
There were expectations that the Patriots would be aggressive in the last free agency cycle, but they failed to land key free agents, including wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who ended up signing with the Tennessee Titans instead. But the problems didn't end with just free agency. Outside of rookie quarterback Drake Maye, the 2024 NFL draft hasn't delivered much room for optimism, either.
