The New England Patriots made two standard elevations on the eve of the 2021 opener against the Miami Dolphins.
Quarterback Brian Hoyer and kicker Nick Folk have been called up to the gameday roster for Sunday’s 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium, according to the NFL transaction wire.
Hoyer, 35, will operate as the lone backup to No. 15 overall pick Mac Jones in his starting debut under center. And Folk, 36, will provide flexibility alongside rookie kicker Quinn Nordin, who continued New England’s undrafted streak as the league’s roster deadline passed.
