The New England Patriots traveled to the Meadowlands with insurance off the ball.
The organization elevated linebacker Joe Giles-Harris from the practice squad for Thursday night against the New York Jets.
Giles-Harris, 27, recorded an interception in the preseason finale before being among the last cuts at the NFL’s 53-man roster deadline. He re-signed to the practice squad as the calendar turned to September. The 6-foot-2, 234-pound linebacker had spent the duration of 2023 on New England’s scout team and was retained on a futures contract in January.
Undrafted out of Duke in 2019, Giles-Harris made previous stops with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills prior to arriving in Foxborough.
