The New England Patriots have officially declared only one player out for their Week 2 game against the Seattle Seahawks — rookie linebacker Josh Uche, who is dealing with an ankle injury — but it seems as if they are preparing for another absence: with Adam Butler listed as questionable for the upcoming contest because of a shoulder issue, New England has elevated fellow defensive tackle Nick Thurman from its practice squad.
While it remains to be seen if Butler will be active against the Seahawks, or how big his eventual role might be if deemed ready to go, elevating Thurman gives the Patriots an additional layer of depth at the position.
