The New England Patriots elevated defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale on the eve of Sunday’s Los Angeles Chargers matchup.
The announcement marks the final standard elevation for the Washington State product.
Ekuale, 27, signed to New England’s practice squad at its formation in September and made his debut against the New York Jets last weekend. In what became a 54-13 win at Gillette Stadium, the call-up played 17 defensive snaps and recorded his second career sack going into halftime.
Entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2018, Ekuale appeared in 16 games and started five through stays with the Cleveland Browns and Jacksonville Jaguars.
