Patriots edge winless Jets on Monday night’s last snap

Quarterback Cam Newton delivered down the stretch for the New England Patriots, and that kept the New York Jets winless nine games into the season.

Nick Folk kicked a 51-yard field goal on the final snap of the game as the Patriots posted a 30-27 victory after trailing by 10 points halfway through the fourth quarter.

Folk ended a 17-play drive with a 29-yard field goal to cut the Jets' lead to 27-20 with 6:04 left.

An interception by cornerback J.C. Jackson got the football back for the Patriots with 5:50 to play. New England went on an 11-play, 72-yard touchdown drive capped by Newton’s 1-yard plunge across the goal line to tie the game with 1:57 left.
