With Julian Edelman being sidelined for a few weeks and Danny Amendola being the Sam Bradford of receivers, some are wondering if this is Aaron Dobson’s time to shine…it isn’t.
Dobson was expected to be the team’s big, vertical threat when he was drafted out of Marshall a few years ago. He had one of the craziest catches I’ve ever seen in college, and he was even drawing comparisons to Randy Moss (mainly because of the Marshall connection). However, after an underwhelming rookie campaign and then a litany of injuries later, Dobson never panned out.
It seems as though the number 17 is cursed for Patriots receivers; Chad Jackson, Talyor Price and now Aaron Dobson have all fizzled out while in that jersey.
