Ian Rapoport reports that the Patriots are not activating WR Malcolm Mitchell from the injured reserve, which means he’ll remain on the list for the remainder of the season
New England designated Mitchell as one of their two players to return from injured reserve a few weeks ago, which officially opened a three-week window of time for the Patriots to add him to their active roster.
Mitchell, 24, was taken in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft. He signed a four-year, $2.917 million contract that included a $577,992 signing bonus with the Patriots and stands to make a base salary of $540,000 for the 2017 season.
