Just last week reports surfaced that the New England Patriots were engaged in extension talks with defensive lineman Christian Barmore.
It looks like those discussions were fruitful, as the two sides have agreed to a massive contraction extension worth $92 million over four years, according to The Boston Herald's Doug Kyed. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the deal has $41.8 million in guaranteed money.
The Patriots selected Barmore in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft, and he's gotten better each year that he's been in the organization.
Through his first three seasons, he's appeared in 44 games, recording 133 tackles (18 for a loss), 32 quarterback hits, 12.
