Patriots didn‘t see rising WR as a starter. His work ethic changed their minds.

Kayshon Boutte didn’t play a single snap in Week 1. He was a healthy scratch in Week 2.

Cut to Week 6 and the second-year pass-catcher led all New England Patriots receivers with 55 snaps played on offense -- plus another eight on special teams.

Two months into Year 2, Boutte looks like he‘s finally arrived in the Patriots offense. His 40-yard touchdown reception on a beautiful deep ball from Drake Maye against the Houston Texans was the offense’s biggest play of the day. It also marked the first career touchdown for both Maye and Boutte.
