The New England Patriots held a full, in-person practice at Gillette Stadium Wednesday. There were pads, passes, whistles, everything.
In any other year, there would be anything resembling actual news. But in 2020, it marked a refreshing return to normal for a Patriots team that has been dealing with anything put in recent weeks.
Wednesday’s practice was just the second fully padded practice and third practice overall since Oct. 2. Even for a normally tight-lipped Patriots team that doesn’t like to make excuses, getting on the field felt good.
“I’m not gonna lie, it was great to have some type of normal Wednesday today," safety Devin McCourty said.
