Even though they were facing some questions entering the season opener, the Cincinnati Bengals still presented a formidable challenge for the New England Patriots’ defense. Led by one of the NFL’s most productive duos — quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase — the unit was more than capable of putting its mark onto the Week 1 game.
Even though Burrow and Chase connected six times for 62 yards, neither they nor the rest of the Bengals offense made much headway on Sunday. Instead, the New England defense put the clamps on the unit.
