Matthew Judon usually is one of the first players out each training camp practice, playing catch with fans and trying to get the crowd fired up. That was not the case on Tuesday, though.
The New England Patriots’ Pro Bowl linebacker did not come out at all. In fact, according to a report by Phil Perry of NBC Sports, the 31-year-old wasn’t even at the team facility when his teammates started to prepare for the sixth session of the summer.
Judon’s absence is the latest chapter in an ongoing contract dispute between him and the team — one that is seemingly on the verge of escalating.
