New England Patriots safety Cody Davis was recognized by the NFL Players Association for his admirable off-the-field contributions.
Davis was named the NFLPA's Week 3 Community MVP for his "Cody's Gamers" program, which aims to cheer up kids at Boston Children's Hospital through video games. The 33-year-old often joins the children via Zoom to play games on Nintendo Switch, which he donated to the hospital for patients to use.
During a press conference on Friday, Davis opened up about what the honor means to him.
"Just shocked. Shocked and truly honored, blessed, thankful that God has put me in this position to have the resources, the platform to give back and love and serve others," Davis said.
