Matthew Judon’s contract situation remains one of the biggest stories of New England Patriots training camp. As of Tuesday morning, the outside linebacker is still unsigned beyond the upcoming season and set to be just the 41st-highest paid player at his position in the league in 2024.
Where the saga is going is anybody’s guess at this point in time. Judon did increase his practice participation levels again after sitting out back-to-back sessions the previous week; he did not play in the preseason opener, but was seen actively coaching up his teammates; other teams have started to inquire about his availability; he (or at least somebody in his circle) took to social media to voice frustration again:
