The New England Patriots are uniquely positioned heading into the 2025 NFL draft.
They have a clear need for a left tackle, but with the No. 4 overall pick in the first round, they could have an opportunity to land one of the top two projected players on the entire draft board, Penn State's Abdul Carter or Colorado's Travis Hunter.
As Patriots coach Mike Vrabel puts it, the best-case scenario would be the team's need at left tackle aligning with the best player available. But things could get tricky if that isn't the case.
While the Patriots have a need at left tackle, it might be a big mistake skipping out on the best player available in a desperation move.
