New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel elaborated on the team's decision to sign four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Stefon Diggs when appearing on the "Green Light Podcast" with Chris Long.
After failing to sign multiple free agent receivers, the Patriots finally landed on a three-year, $69 million deal with Diggs, a 31-year-old wideout coming off a torn ACL. This was clearly a situation where the need was too great to pass up.
“Just trying to make sure we're supporting Drake and supporting the football team," Vrabel said. "And again, this is a highly competitive, confident receiver that's produced throughout his career in multiple ways.
