Patriots claim four players on first day after roster cutdown

The New England Patriots spent Monday and Tuesday cutting and waiving players and placing others on various lists to be at the mandated 53 roster spots by the NFL's deadline.

New England had the third waiver priority on Wednesday, and they claimed four players - offensive tackle Demontrey Davis, linebacker Curtis Jacobs, defensive tackle Eric Johnson and offensive tackle Zachary Thomas.

Here's what these players have done in their careers:

Demontrey Davis

Davis, 25, played collegiately at Grambling State (2017-19) and South Florida (2020-22) before joining the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent last offseason.
