Patriots claim four cuts off waivers following 2024 NFL roster deadline

The New England Patriots stood No. 3 in the waiver priority after active rosters around the NFL reduced to 53.

That standing would be put to use by executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf and Co.

The organization claimed offensive tackles Zachary Thomas and Demontrey Jacobs, defensive tackle Eric Johnson and linebacker Curtis Jacobs off waivers as the window closed Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET.

Thomas, 26, was awarded from the Los Angeles Rams. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound bookend has appeared in three games beyond the preseason since entering the league out of San Diego State in the sixth round of the 2022 draft.
