FOXBOROUGH — Leonard Johnson's 2015 season seemed over before it started.
Johnson, a cornerback, was waived with an injury designation at the end of the preseason, reverting to IR, where he'd likely remain for the duration of the year.
On Dec. 3, though, the Bucs released Johnson from injured reserve, allowing him to sign with any NFL team.
He worked out with the Patriots on Dec. 7, signed the following day and now must learn on the fly in the New England secondary.
Johnson said Friday that he's '100 percent' recovered from the ankle injury that landed him on IR.
