The New England Patriots are apparently looking to add a little depth at linebacker, and it looks like they’ll be bringing back a familiar face in order to do it.
According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the club is expected to sign Jamie Collins, which would be the fourth time he’ll be returning to Foxboro.
Collins was originally a second-round draft pick with the club in 2013 and he’s had some of his best moments in New England under Bill Belichick. His addition should add some quality depth with Ja’Whaun Bentley, who has been the leader of the group to this point, as well as give additional help to Matthew Judon and Mack Wilson Sr.
