The New England Patriots are keeping busy as they look to fill the final six spots on their 90-man training camp roster.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the team hosted free agent cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick for a visit on Thursday.
Kirkpatrick, 31, originally entered the league as the Cincinnati Bengals’ first round draft pick in 2012. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound defensive back spent eight seasons in Cincinnati, where he was one of the teams top defenders, leading them in interceptions and pass deflections on two separate occasions.
In 2020 he racked up three interceptions and allowed just two touchdowns with the Arizona Cardinals after signing a one year deal in August, less than one month before the start of the season.
