After recently parting ways with defensive back Jalen Mills, the New England Patriots brought the veteran back on Wednesday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Mills is back on a 1-year deal worth up to $6.1 million, which likely will see him be in the mix for the safety spot vacated by recently retired, Devin McCourty.
Mills has been vocal about the fact he’s got some familiarity with that role this offseason and it appears now that he’ll be the guy potentially looking to anchor the secondary the way that McCourty did.
