Patriots Attendance: Star Defender Absent, New Signee Present On Day 4

UPDATE 11:26 a.m.: New England Patriots safety Marte Mapu took the field in shoulder pads and a helmet some 25 minutes after the start of practice.

FOXBORO, Mass. — Both New England Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore and safety Marte Mapu were absent at the start of Day 4 on Sunday.

Barmore and Mapu missed the start of training camp session Friday, too, before they came out to the field and did not practice.

The Patriots also featured a new face, defensive tackle Josiah Bronson, who wore No. 75. New England announced the signing as players took the field.
