The New England Patriots landed the right coach for the job in Mike Vrabel to take over at the helm and redirect the franchise.
Vrabel becomes the 16th head coach in franchise history and has the tools to restore the Patriots to prominence: A franchise quarterback in Drake Maye, the No. 4 overall pick and $130 million in cap space.
It’s easier said than done given how much work the Patriots need, but the encouraging part is the tools needed to fix the franchise are there for the taking. That appealed enough to get Vrabel back in the building for the first time as a head coach.
