FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots made a series of roster moves Tuesday, adding wide receiver/return specialist Damaris Johnson to their 53-man roster while claiming rookie running back Trey Williams on waivers from the Cowboys.
The team already had one open roster spot and created an additional spot to account for Johnson and Williams by placing rookie defensive end Trey Flowers on season-ending injured reserve.
The 5-foot-8, 175-pound Johnson has been with the Eagles (2012-13) and Texans (2014). He is a quick, shifty slot receiver with experience as both a punt and kickoff returner.
