The Patriots added a few more depth pieces to the roster today, signing offensive lineman Luke Bowanko and tight end Troy Niklas, the team announced.
Bowanko, 26, was with the Ravens last season, and the Jaguars (2014-16) prior to that. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound center was a sixth-round draft pick (205th overall) of the Jaguars in the 2014 NFL Draft out of Virginia.
While he’s mostly been used as a center, he did have one start last season at left guard. Last season, he played in 16 games with the Ravens.
Niklas, meanwhile, had visited the Patriots on Monday.
