If there’s one area to be concerned about after the New England Patriots’ 33-3 dismantling of the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night, it’s the depth along the offensive line. The starters all looked rock-solid against Pittsburgh’s defensive front line – particularly when it came to pass protection and keeping quarterback Tom Brady upright – but there’s still a disturbing lack of reinforcements waiting in the wings behind those same starters.
This is part of the reason why the Patriots have been so active in recent weeks on the trade market. They orchestrated deals with the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, and Buffalo Bills for offensive linemen Korey Cunningham, Jermaine Eluemunor, and Russell Bodine, respectively.
